How to synchronize a Synology NAS with Exoscale Object Storage
The Synology NAS is a very user-friendly storage system for private persons and small to medium businesses. It comes with a large number of applications and can synchronize with an Amazon S3-compatible storage like the Exoscale Object Storage. This guide shows how to set that up with the Cloud Sync application.
Note
This method synchronizes the Synology NAS with the Exoscale Object Storage. It does not create a versioned backup. If you want to create a versioned backup please use Hyper Backup.
Prerequisites
As prerequisite for the following documentation, you’ll have to:
-
Create an Object Storage Bucket, either via the portal or the CLI. You can refer to the Object Storage documentation
-
Create an IAM key, either via the portal or the CLI. You can refer to the IAM documentation
Install Cloud Sync
