How to use Veeam Backup with Exoscale Object Storage
The Veeam backup software is predominantly used in the enterprise segment. Amazon S3-compatible object storages are often used for long term storage for backups. Exoscale offers such an object storage that works with Veeam. This guide shows how to set this up.
Prerequisites
As prerequisite for the following documentation, you’ll have to:

Create an Object Storage Bucket, either via the portal or the CLI. You can refer to the Object Storage documentation

Create an IAM key, either via the portal or the CLI. You can refer to the IAM documentation
Creating a Scale-Out Repository
Please follow the figures below. If you have already set up your Veeam backups please click Scale Out Repositories on the right side and then Add Scale-out Backup Repository.
When asked for a service endpoint, please enter https://sos-ZONE.exo.io, taking care of substituting ZONE with the proper zone.
