How-To - DBaaS
Step-by-step guides to configure the service and use specific features, with clear instructions for common tasks and problem solving.
Connect to an Exoscale DBaaS database by retrieving its URI, verifying service status, using client tools, and managing deletion protection.
Use external integrations to connect Exoscale DBaaS with Datadog, Prometheus, logging, and analytics tools for monitoring and observability.
Manage DBaaS backups and restores with automated backups, PITR, fork-based recovery, upgrade workflows, and termination protection.
Manage DBaaS maintenance windows to schedule updates during low-traffic periods and understand rolling upgrades and failover behavior.
Scale DBaaS services between supported plans to increase or reduce capacity, provided lower plans still meet current storage requirements.
Sync DBaaS IP filters with SKS node IPs automatically to restrict database access to cluster nodes as nodes scale, change, or get replaced.
Use Terraform to provision and manage Exoscale DBaaS services like PostgreSQL, MySQL, Kafka, Valkey, Grafana, OpenSearch, and ClickHouse.
