How-To - Private Network
Warning
Private Networks are reaching end of life: they are no longer available for new workloads. Build new workloads on Exoscale Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) instead, starting with the VPC quick start. Existing Private Networks keep working until their end of life, 180 days after the notice emailed to the owners of the organizations that use them. The migration guide shows how to move them. Private Networks linked to Private Connect are not affected.
Step-by-step guides to configure the service and use specific features, with clear instructions for common tasks and problem solving.
Change a Private Network between Manual and Managed modes using the Exoscale Portal, CLI, or API to match your networking needs.
Create a Manual Private Network with static IPs and configure instance interfaces on Linux, Windows, or OpenBSD for private connectivity.
Configure DHCP options on Managed Private Networks, including gateway, DNS, NTP, and domain search settings via CLI or API.
Create a Managed Private Network with custom DHCP ranges, static IP support, interface setup, and DHCP option control via CLI or Portal.
