# exo networking vpc route create
### Description

This command creates a route on a VPC Subnet.

Routes are scoped to a Subnet, so --subnet is required.

exo networking vpc route create VPC-NAME|ID [flags]
```

### Options

| Option | Description |
|---------|------------|
|`--description` | route description |
|`--destination` | route destination CIDR (e.g. 10.9.0.0/24) |
|`--help, -h` | help for create |
|`--subnet` | Subnet to create the route in (NAME\|ID) |
|`--target` | route target, as ip=<IP address> (e.g. ip=10.0.0.5). Find more details at https://community.exoscale.com/product/networking/vpc/how-to/using-routing-rules/ |
|`--zone, -z` | VPC zone |
